Changes vs Crows v2

He has indeed but you always get the tedious knee jerk reactions that aren’t really thought out.

Fair, just a matter of opinion. I just feel past performance is a good indicator of futre performance and from what I’ve gathered from the past 10+ years is that we are due for a loss against Adelaide.

I actually reckon we might get over the top of Sydney at marvel though and sneak into the 8. We match up well against them especially if Parish is in the squad at that point

Well rAdelaide have only played Marvel once this year where they knocked off the blues

I wonder if we put time into Soligo this time.

Would be so Essendon to lose this game

If we beat crows we will be temporarily back to second.

It seems so unfair that we should have to play in the rain.

I’m still not confident we’ll beat the Crows.

Their form is a lot better than ours.

And the Dees came was just a shamble.

Crows are no joke, dont look at their ladder position as an indicator.

Dont worry mate fully aware

Rankine to slice up our midfield

How’s he doing that suspended?

Essendon to start well, wasteful as always. Kick 4 goals 1stQ, probably should have had 7. Get out to a 20 pt lead midway Q2, only to let Crows back in, trail in the 3rd, Crows tail is up, umpire rub-of-the-green goes their way. Bomberblitz has a meltdown. We trail at 3QT. But our Arizona off-season trip sees us get up with a 5 goal last Q to win by 10-15pts. No % gain, no ‘aura’. no style, no ‘edge’ - just more mediocrity!

Oh yeah - this is about changes to the team! Surely you have to give Hobbs and Settlefield a go, and perhaps give Cox and Perkins a rest. I don’t know if they can change any more.

We’ll win by 6 goals you peasants. It is the Essendon way.

Last time Adelaide beat Essendon was in 2017, 7 years ago. Let that marinate for a while IF Adelaide take the points Friday night.

Hard to shake the nagging feeling Essendon are going to fark this up. They’ve shattered the last skerrick of trust, sucked all the joy from this season.

Was angry at the ground Saturday night, furious how they’ve built supporters up on false hope. My daughter wants to invest in this team but it’s getting harder with each insipid, gut wrenching loss. She’s shutting down on this basket case of a club. Year, after year the same sh_t.

Davey can’t play. He hasn’t got sufficient fitness. How do they cover him when he’s stuffed early in the 3rd qtr, game on the line and he can no longer chase, harass and close down space inside f50? The team defence breaks down as a result. He’s not ready and you can’t carry blokes who aren’t fit enough… Or, if you don’t truely value the defensive traits forwards bring then play him and hope he kicks 4 goals in the first half to make up for it🤔.
Seriously though, he’s not ready. I’d rather drop Wright and go more mobile that way and use Cox as the second ruck. Just my view.

Just sub him out. or play him in bursts in last qtr.
Sometimes it feels like our forwards go too far outside forward 50, tell him to stay within the arc…his poor fitness probabyl results in goals our way if we get a turnover and he’s on his own, happens numerous times to the opposition that are not chasing their opponent upfield.

Take last week for example he would be contesting with may rather than may just marking it one out, and then players just need to dribble it in on the ground and he should beat May in a loose ball get and then dance around him before kicking the goal.

We turned our form around in the last 10min. No changes for mine.

And when you find out the coaches are basically saying that the players just didn’t comply the the game plan or expectations, it makes it even worse.

How mentally fragile are the players to lose their bundle so so significantly. And to have no leadership on field to try and get it back in line.

I assumed that’s why we have leaders like Heppell on the field, right? To ensure structures and game plans are followed? Even Langford, McGrath, Stringer etc didn’t seem to help get things back on track.

I mean, I don’t blame the players. It’d be hard to retrain all your muscle and fiber memories to not turn to complete ■■■■ in winter. Imagine we do make finals, how will their bodies react to not being in the European sun!
