After all the upsets this round l can well imagine there are half a dozen other fansites that have posts resembling these. Chances not taken, opportunities lost, etc. The season however is far from over and pays no regard. Carry on, more to come, the merry-go-ride is far from over in 2024.

I hope the club gives us a look at Roberts and Jayden Davey soon.
If wrights form really is that bad play the two rucks (obrien is gonna kill em anyway) and a more mobile accountable forward line.
Ie caddy, langford, stringer, davey, resting ruck, gresham.

Scott is very conservative, so we probably won’t see that many changes. But, I agree with your sentiments. I’d probably give Guelfi and Cox another run, though.

Tough and interesting week at selection table. Wet night at G to dry night at Marvel, add to that pressure to drop those just making up the numbers. Will they drop the talls that set up to fail last week, will they drop the ex skipper who appears on last legs to blood youth, stay tuned viewers for next weeks episode.
Its a pretty good opportunity to play our best football.
Fairly good availability of players.
Selection pressure from a couple of decent performances in the twos.

There’s an expectation Essendon bounce back after their demoralising loss to the Dees BUT, their inability to beat top 8 teams will be impacting their confidence / self belief. With losing 4 of the last 6 and playing poorly, feels like Essendon are on the brink of another late season collapse. Would not surprise to see them lose on Friday. I’m expecting it.

Would not be surprised at all if Wright is also dropped, but given Jones not kicking goals and how new Caddy is highly doubtful
I didn’t think we were outclassed all night.
I think the comps best defence(when in form) were in form and our forwards were shown up for their struggling form.
Theres a bit there on the dees being a bit hungrier/first to the contest but we generated a good number of i50s

Gold Coast are ahead of us they have beaten top 8 sides more so than us this season.

In. Any young player that is in form in the VFL. Tsatas in the guts.
Out. Too many talls, out of form players, and older players near the end.
They have also lost to many bottom 8 sides. Not sure that makes them ahead of us.

Anyone picking radical changes are going to get a rude pill on Thursday night. It’s not until we lose our next 3 will Brad pull the pin on a few players.

The sub will be interesting, I doubt it will be Hobbs as they only let him play 3 quarters in the VFL, so probably expect Cox.
My ongoing predictions is we’ll lose this game and win against the Saints & Freo. I dont think we match up well against the Suns so they’ll get us. Have to win a game against Swans or Brisbane to make the 8.
