I don’t think this is something Hobbs can do; as much as I rate him.
Nor Snelling, as much as I don’t.
Not really, the player has to be tall/good enough to demand Lever engage him, and athletic enough to drag him up and down the ground all day.
Perkins was quite, even timid and n the first half.
He lit it up in the second
Surely we could pick a bloke with a bit of form to do that. The game chops and changes. The role your suggesting Jones play would involve more than merely taking a key defender. He’d have to play footy too and he’s currently poor at it.
To be clear, I’m advocating Voss comes in for Weid. But also Jones stays in. We will need a second tall to engage May also.
Not keen on just leaving Voss with a resting ruck plus Langford and Stringer. We will need another option.
It’ll be Weid our for Hep.
Davey out for Tippa.
Jones for Voss.
If Voss isn’t in, he’s clearly battling for a spot in the team with Stringer, not Jones.
Ideally we’d have a better option, sure, but we don’t. The cupboards are so bare they we need to improvise. Playing players whose confidence is completely shot is worse than conceding a slight amount of size.
But you said ‘ok’….
I apologise to you and your family.
Yes.
Im tipping us. Might pop a cheeky meal ticket on the tote if the bookies give great odds
If Tippa looked good in the VFL then I can see that change.
I don’t understand how you can drop Heppell on that performance.
And I don’t understand the set-up you’re proposing with the Voss for Jones.
I appreciate that they played Voss further up the ground in the VFL, but has he really got that amount of k’s in him?
And do we really want to go smaller?
Out: Weid In: Voss
I guess Out: least good smaller defender (sub) In: Heppell, too.
I was looking for dropping a small defender, but Melbourne run Kosiah, Chandler and Spargo.
So that covers McGrath, Redman and Kelly.
Ideally we need 3 tall forwards otherwise, Petty takes one, Lever the other and May becomes Wilkie. One is Flip. I do think Jones stays in and Voss stays at VFL. It’s just whether our third forward is dangerous enough to keep them honest.
I want voss in just to run through steven may.
Give him the ol’ Jake Melksham treatment, ehh?
Jones ain’t shaping to be dangerous, nor a forward.
He’ll take Lever and try to drag him away from marking contests.
If Petty goes to him, then some other forward will need to drag him away from a marking contest.
They have gotten us by 5 goals and 2 goals the last two time we have met em.
This time around they will have travelled perth-melbourne-adelaide in a week and we are playing much better footy.
Reckon yes they beat us most days.
Just think the stars might align for us.
We are a chance
