I think we need to stop focusing on the players Collingwood will be missing and looking at the players that will be out there.
There’s a LOT of quality (Daicos, Pendlebury, Elliot, De Goey, Sidebottom etc) out there.

This is key.
but we didn’t ahve Zerk & Phillips against the saints.
It was stringers first game back and hes improved a little since then.
Heppell had a shocker and has improved.
But no doubt Collingwood will look a the Ess st kilda game and see what they did to beat us.
I think you’ve got them all once you factor the 2 rucks (Cameron & Cox)
5 talls and 2 handy Mids all definitely in their Best 23…
And from the st kilda game, they’ve also lost Mcstay, Murphy and Adams.
Essendon’s 2022 Best & Fairest:
All missing this game.
We should not be expected to beat Collingwood, they are the premiership favourites and they are in great form regardless of the injuries. It will be a huge upset if we win.
Was it Lloydy who did this or Lordo? It’s hard on the surface to tell the difference but it’s definitely there
Genuine 50/50 game for mine.
Wright and Merrett are huge outs, obviously.
We are only required to replace 1 tall and 1 Mid though.
Collingwood will be forced to select a player or 2 not considered under usual circumstances.
Guelfi is a player easily replaceable, not to downgrade his undoubted improvement last season.
100%
Can’t believe how ahead of themselves supporters are getting after one good win.
The Pies were a kick from the Grand Final last year and have looked the best team in the early parts of the season - dismantling the reigning premiers, smashing Port, comfortably beating Richmond and beating the team on top of the ladder (who we lost to). They have some outs (as do we) which will help us, but they absolutely should be favourites for this game.
I just don’t want to see parasites like Elliot, Hill and sidearse taking uncontested marks 20m from goals. We haven’t really faced a dangerous forward line yet but we looked very vulnerable to Stkildas smalls. We have to tighten that up.
I feel like Sidearse has been only serviceable against us since 2018.
Ive done it now, havent i ?
depends how you put it
I mean going back on 21/22 we are missing

It would be nice to have those young players available.
However, i could not place Reid & Cox currently in a Best 23, and i just havent seen enough of Tsatas to comment.
Sadly, i dont think Tippa will make it back to our best side.

Bet you could fit them into Collingwoods best 23.
All 12 AFL.com footy ‘experts’ have tipped Collingwood.
All of them…
I seriously can’t see how we lose this game.
Would a fit Reid be selected in Coll’s side this week if he were on their list ?..YES
Not with Moore, Frampton & Murphy available (or Howe for Frampton).
Betting odds have them as favourites, 1.49 - 2.63. We can win this game but if we do it will be an upset.
