Changes vs Port Adelaide R2 2021

Most probably not, last night pretty much broke me. I have to work in the morning but if my mood has improved by the weekend who knows

C’mon Ace, we’re relying on you, need first hand accounts of the Neanderthals you encounter at a Port Adelaide home game.

First change should be whoever the Faaark is our goal kicking coach .

After near on 20 years of being garbage I’ve almost had enough. They just keep finding new ways to stick daggers into our hearts.
I really can’t be bothered sitting there for two hours watching us get pumped whilst Raz kicks 6 and the crowd gets stuck into the 500 fans that will be allowed in.
As I said my mood might change by the weekend but I really hate the club ATM

I’ll still be aiming to get tickets to go. Unless they cost close to $100 each. I’d rather spend that at the supermarket to make these tappas

or kmart

I’d go.

McGrath, hooker, Ridley
Hind, BZT, heppell
Langford merrett, caldwell
Tippa, jones,cox
Waterman,2mp,smith
Draper, parish,shiel
Laverde, redman, snelling, ham
Sub.gleeson

In. BZT, waterman gleeson
Out. Francis, cahill,cutler

Although not ideal I reckon we may need mcgrath to play back next week. To help combat gray, orazio, butters. Motlop( who usually plays his 1 good game a year against us)
Then parish can play more midfield minutes.
I think ports smaller forwards are more worrying than there midfield.
While ridley can play as a 3rd tall defender with hooker and BZT back.

Reckon both Archie and Jake play the following week at marvel

If we give 4 qtrs of effort we will probably lose by about 30 points

If we serve up anything close to what we served up in the 3rd qtr this week, we will get smashed by 70+

Precisely!

The vast majority of the issues we had last night were issues with an inexperienced side. We are going to be hot and cold. I was there live, it hurt, but we were SO much better in that first half than at any point since probably the 10 weeks of 2018 when we decided to give a fark - and even then we were playing a fairly medieval style of footy.

So what to do?

  1. Don’t panic.
  2. Fix the obvious issue in the back line. We are too short. You just can’t play Francis on Dixon. I’d keep Franga in the team (even though I wanted to delist him last night) and replace Redman with Hooker. We are trying to build a back line that works hard and supports each other and I actually think Cahill is an important ingredient there.
  3. Bring in another forward for Hooker. Stringer is obviously best if ready, otherwise Waterman. With Hurley/Ambrose injured I think those are about our options?

Could easily bring in Perkins for the Piglett (Ham) and I wouldn’t be unhappy but again, I don’t think its panic stations yet.

I just have this feeling that it’s gonna be really really reallllly bad…

Port have so much firepower, and their home crowd will be out for blood.

It has the potential to be one of our worst ever.

I’ll be there. Will try and fly the flag for Blitz.

Not expecting much but excited to see the youngsters (hopefully) crack in.

And then get told thats it’s ok dosen’t matter that we got flogged by 100 points as long as we are playing the kids bla,bla

Its such a crappy loser mentality I want us to be really competitive whilst also blooding the kids.

I dont care if we lose every game just give me that Geelong effort every week
