Given that Truck is trying to develop the team into playing consistent, system based football I think it is highly unlikely we will see any moves like Smith going to Grey etc. More likely he will back the defensive group
The open spaces of Adelaide oval will suit our handball game.

no changes. give stringer another weekend at home playing vfl.
no sense at all picking players not absolutely at 100% in a season where we are definitely not rebuilding.

Which is one part the right thing to do, stick with the system you’re trying to build… and 100 parts very ■■■■■■■ concerning because our defensive group is a long way from reliable or assured…

Touch extreme… Bloke played 60% game time on Saturday in the VFL practice match and then topped up with extra running afterwards. Not like he’s coming straight off injury and into the seniors. With our desperate need for more height down back they may look to bring him in and swing Hooker back.
Or they may want to continue to build his match fitness in the VFL praccies…

All weekend players who have trained all preseason struggled in the latter parts of games, String needs more time in the magoos.
I agree, absolutely. Just making the point that it’s not really the same situation as last year.
FWIW, he could play 6 practice matches and will still struggle in his first game back in the seniors. It’s just what happens.

stringer an Johnson didn’t do a lot of extra running, i saw them do a few laps. That was about it.
Dev Smith wasn’t prolific but that’s what you get playing off the ball.
2 goals, 1 goal assist among 7 score involvements…
