Climate Change in Australia (Part 2)

Anyone who posts a smiley face in response to a suggestion they might be a bit too comfortable using a Nazi flavoured phrase is cooking with super exy gas (the kind that bizarrely proves renewables will be our economic downfall).

I had it, still dealing with the aftermath. Very ■■■■■■ thing to deal with. My liver became very inflamed from it too…docs thought I had hepatitis.

Probably about 80-85% normal now (health wise…clearly not mentally )

I teach Greenland as one of our case studies at school.

Erik the red set up settlement on the very small marginal coast, he told people back in Iceland it was green to encourage migration, this is widely known

It was a political tactic, it is widely recorded, Greenlands ice cap was there, it wasn’t actually green and verdant all over. like now only the margins could sustain life.

Though now it’s retreating. Please read the history, if you are gonna use it.

Yeah, Erik the Red is one of history’s first shonky real estate salesmen. Calling Greenland ‘Greenland’ was the viking equivalent of selling unsuspecting retirees ‘beachfront property’ in a flood-prone swamp.

See that’s the thing,

B1408 doesn’t read about 90% of the stuff he posts, and the 10% he does it doesn’t understand. He proves this time and time again, i’ve started to think his smoke bombing anytime someone replies to his horseshit with evidence based rebuttals isn’t due to him being a bad faith debater but that he’s literally unable to understand the replies enough to maintain the discussion.

160mm fell on Friday night at my place. Things are really ramping up now. Thoughts and prayers for those trying to grow our food.

Antarctica, already :frowning:

Yeah but we’re coming out of a mini ice age plus do you know how hot the sun really is? Super hot. This is all fine.

The climate emergency will fast become a food emergency.

But you know it’s not carbon cause

Scientist know that small increases in carbon cause temp increase, it was proved in the 1800s

Predicted weather changes were made by Exxon and James Hansen in the 80s

We have pumped C02 into the atmosphere

The predictions have come to pass, alarmingly accurately

But

It’s not carbon, so don’t worry

Im getting this right yeah?

■■■■■■■ wild that in the last 250 000 years the Sun had absolutely no temperature fluctuations until 40 years ago.

Just crazy stuff man. Wild.

Almost as amazing is that in the past 40 years of concern about global warming, no climate scientist has ever bothered to monitor the variance of the sun’s output and factor it into their climate calculations. Jeez we’re lucky we have a bunch of people making youtube videos to set them straight…

Yes and aren’t the fossil fuel billionaires lucky that they have all these brave brave truth sayers like bombernumberwhatsit to defend them, and their humble aim to generously provide us with energy.

All without profit to themselves. Blush

…and the only way to save capitalism is by sticking to 1 (one) resource for our energy concerns.
