Climate Change in Australia (Part 2)

I believe it’s a reference to Milankovitch cycles i.e. A century ago, Serbian scientist Milutin Milankovitch hypothesized the long-term, collective effects of changes in Earth’s position relative to the Sun are a strong driver of Earth’s long-term climate, and are responsible for triggering the beginning and end of glaciation periods (Ice Ages).

Oh, that stereotypical misinformation, the one that can be ruled out with 35 seconds of google search if one is actually interested in the non-partisan scientific reality.

Look at the person talking ■■■■ without reading the actual article… it covers source of the power.

EDIT: sniped.

Some people are attracted to a hindcast, others get in trouble with their partners when a nice forecast strolls by.

At 08:00 this morning in Broadford it was minus one, felt like minus four.

When’s the next ice age due?

He doesn’t even read the stuff he posts half the time.

Could all of this be explained as the last phase of a termination event?

Nope

It’s already been explained, in great detail and with extraordinary scientific rigor, as being the direct result of human emissions of CO2 and other greenhouse compounds. You don’t need to grasp at straws looking for another explanation.

A side-effect of this has been the release of large amounts of methane from thawing tundra permafrost, which, combined with the large amounts of methane emissions from agriculture and gas drilling, mean that we are right in the middle of triggering an entirely artificial ice age termination event, at a time when we’re not even in an ice age. Which is exactly as scary and unprecedented as it sounds.

Spoiler, I didn’t watch this one either, ymmv

Well when you have other bodies in the solar system like Jupiter, Saturn etc increasing their gravitational force on the Earth & the Moon, that changes their orbit & therefore also changes the distance from Sol.

Refer: Milankovitch (Orbital) Cycles and Their Role in Earth's Climate - NASA Science

Two of the states that will be hardest hit by a warming planet, Florida and Arizona actively passing laws to deny the reality. So ■■■■■■■ stupid.

https://climate.law.columbia.edu/content/arizona-senate-republicans-pass-bill-prevent-climate-action

And the there’s this:

It might be harder to deny in a few months time. Things not looking good for their hurricane season.

I believe it’s 99% of the Mass in the solar system is in the sun. Jupiter and all the other planets account for SFA of the gravitational effect on earths orbit.

Not only does he not read the articles he posts (or he would have seen this…)

Let’s take a look at each (further reading on why Milankovitch cycles can’t explain Earth’s current warming here) .

… but he also forgets he’s posted the EXACT same link previously, and been called out for it then too, for exactly the same reasons.

Sigh.

Why are you even in this thread, b1408? You don’t seem to be interested in actually learning anything. You aren’t even listening to what YOU say.
