Extreme outlier well outside anything we’ve seen in the past 40 years could be random coincidence, but extreme outliers are predicted to become more common with global warming. The article says there’s specific explanations for this, but that the conditions became more likely due to global warming. Just in case you skimmed that article looking for keywords that supported your world view.

In addition to ethanol from sugar, Brazil has been manufacturing ethanol from plantation eucalyptus, also Uruguay. However, ethanol fuel is supposed to be more carbon enriched than gasoline

In my 3 decade-long career being a weather forecaster, and now Chief Meteorologist and Climate Specialist, I have never observed so many of Earth’s vital signs blinking red. Meteorologists and climate scientists all around the world are in awe by the simultaneous literal “off the charts” records being broken

I gotta say, it’s hard to be to upset about a loss after the siren when you see our planet falling apart at rapid pace. Footy might not even be a thing in ten years time.

Well we can celebrate the massive cost increases of power … well done all, and all after the duds @ labour promising a decrease to get themselves in “power”

Not sure what the Ukraine/Russian war has to do with climate change as that’s what’s driving prices.

The LNP appears to have stopped claiming it’s supply driven. Those mini nuclear reactor proposals haven’t resurfaced lately.

maybe they realised they can’t simultaneously bang the fear drums of nuclear war and also spruik unproven non existant technologies
