One small step for a man….

We still refer to everything as man made, mankind and must get dozens of emails each week containing the term man management

Man made = hand made ( from the Latin for hand, manus, as in manual labour, manning the door etc)

Hand = mano in Spanish. Thank you for now making that easier for me to remember!

Forgive my ignorance but is that mph or kph?

Considering the frog-eaters invented the metric system and the contempt they have for the US, I can’t imagine that mph would enter their consciousness, so unless some septic has translated the original,I’d say kmh.

I’m a touch sceptical about this assertion. I’d have though that man-made is more to do with (hu)man than man(ual).

Cheers.

Can’t see a reduction from 70 to 50 doing much except annoying people then.

Language evolves, human kind catch up

Hasn’t yet in my line of work and happy for it to stay as is

Man management is an odd term, unless only blokes are managers.
Management is derived from the Latin for hand (manus).

‘People management’ has been a pretty general term for some time, maybe your line is just majority men so it makes sense. Personally i like ‘farkwit herding’.

It does. But “man” has not evolved much for most of two millennia. And a forced change over a few years for the sake of political correctness is not “evolution”.

It seems like you want a word to mean just what you want it to mean. Would you advocate for Humpty Dumpty’s argument as a defence in a court case, or even in trade negotiations?

Man agement, time to get with the times!

Lots of challenges between the Latin word ‘■■■■’ meaning man, and the Greek word ‘■■■■’ meaning same…

Didn’t realise ‘hoe-mow’ was banned.

Probably man management comes from the wankers who excel in hand management.

Politically correct females can go swimming with no fear of man-eating sharks.
