They’ve trolled everyone beautifully.
I don’t mind if they update the logo, so long as it still includes a plane/bomber. (And it looks good)
But I think the current logo is fine.

Agree. I love the logo and name “bombers”. But they are questioning if it is “appropriate”, can only be the link to bombing that worries them. If a change happens it surely won’t be just the logo, it will be the name too…

At least in that version the AwFuL logo is pushed off to the corner.
This version always bothered me because of the perspective mismatch of the VFL (later AwFuL) logo on the wing.
Edit: in retrospect, it was just a precursor of the logos that would get painted on the ground with forced perspective so they are upright on camera.

The current logo is also used by many local sporting clubs such as Essendon Rowing, Essendon Hockey, Essendon Maribyrnong Park Ladies Cricket etc. All part funded by EFC. Do they have to change too.
