A lot of Islamic and Christian soccer players often pray before coming onto the pitch as substitutes as well, very noticeable in the Middle East and South American Leagues.
I don’t have much of an issue with it, as long as it isn’t forced on those players who don’t want to participate.

ND have put together some season since being knocked off by Northern Illinois in week 2.
I wonder if in future years they might rethink their independent status to allow them opportunities to participate in Championship round and get the week 1, bye.

Yeah, they can never get higher than #5 if they stay independent.
I think they’ve got a very favourable exclusivity deal with NBC but now they’ve gone to a 12 team playoff, if/when that deal expires seems to be the logical rethink.

I reckon Miami will be a bit cheesed off missing out, having only 2 losses to Alabama’s 3.
But with both not playing in conference championship games they have to hope things go their way in the ACC championship game.
Iowa can get in if they beat Arizona State in the Big 12 championship game.
Hard to make a case for anyone else getting in.

There is, but the winner will get in on the basis of being the ACC champion, and also likely to get a first round bye.
Seems premature… with an entire weekend of conference championship games about to be played with at least two top 10 matchups.

Army win the AAC championship - their first ever conference championship. They have the traditional Army - Navy game next week, then a bowl game, could have a 13 win season.
Boise State win the Mountain State Championship, beating UNLV - that should give them a first round bye in the CFP playoffs.
Rumour has it they even successfully completed a forward pass.
