Yeah 12 teams. Top 4 get the bye and the remaining 8 play in the first week.
So why isn’t Georgia in the CFP?
They lost in the SEC final to Alabama. That put Alabama in and Georgia out.
As expected big loss for FSU vs Georgia. Many of FSU’s top players opted out of playing as they’ve nominated for the NFL
This is a recent trend and it bugs me. I guess I kind of understand it but it is making these games almost farcical.

The college football I grew up watching is gone and not coming back. I’m getting used to the idea but I certainly don’t enjoy it.
I miss the Big 8, the old Big 10, the days of 10 bowl games on New Year’s Day that all mattered, the wishbone, the triple option, Keith Jackson, Oklahoma-Nebraska on Thanksgiving…
Oh well… at least we have sentient breakfast pastries participating in moments of ritual sacrifice.
