Cooked up a roast lamb tonight. Really hit the spot.
I cooked Roast Lamb last night. Lamb is far from my favourite but it’s my wife’s favourite so sometimes compromise is needed. Had it marinated overnight in a rosemary, mint and garlic marinade that I knocked up and then cooked in the air fryer with duck fat roast potatoes, honey glazed carrots and parsnips.
Turned out excellent and plenty left over for sandwiches today
i can’t cop lamb as leftovers.
Stovies FTW
Mmmm, lamb!
Left over lamb for sandwiches is the best. This time we didn’t have any but had just enough for a plate to take to work tomorrow.
You must be the envy of all in the lunch room.
If lunch rooms even still exist that is!
Ha ha. I have been offered money for my meals at work sometimes.
That’s like a $20 roast of the day meal at the pub. With probably more flavour!
if theres something i love about roast dinners, its pumpkin cooked as long as the potatoes almost to the point of burnign.
Yep. And artichokes the same way.
How do you do artichokes? Ordinary artichokes or Jerusalem artichokes?
Lamb has never been my favourite meat but lamb shanks, particularly smoked lamb shanks, are farking amazing.
I get these here. Just as good as fresh. Fresh ones freeze exactly like this and this way you don’t hand to clean them as they’re a pain in the butt.
You will be able to find them at any of the Greek supermarkets in Melbourne.
Where I live is not exactly over-endowed with Greek supermarkets, but I’ll look for one. And you just thaw them and roast them straight from the pack?
Yep! Thaw them out in water though so they don’t go grey. If you do find them, buy 4 packets at a time like I do
Shelton, I believe you’re in the inner eastern suburbs - yes?
Orlando’s is a good Greek grocer in Doncaster. No idea if they have the artichokes though.
They definitely used to only 2 years ago so I’d say they still would.
as an aside, we had yemista today for a small family lunch - tomato and zucchini.
Made yesterday (by Mrs D) and served cold. They were excellent.
vinegar in it?
