legit looks like something youd find in a bin after a few weeks of mould and festering has taken place.
I remember having a ripper at the pie cart outside the station in north terrace in 03 after that horrible final against port. I think it did give me a second wind. Balfours pie I think.
Tastes a lot better than it looks that’s for sure
Yes would have been the Balfours pie cart out the front of the train station. Reckon that pie cart was the last one in Adelaide to shut for good around about 2010.
Since then Vili’s have operated one occasionally at Norwood Oval and out the front of the casino when footy games are on
I’ve never eaten a pie floater.
Aren’t you an Adelaideian ?
Preposterous !
Go stand in the corner facing the wall for 5 mins !
I like pies, sauce and peas. I like peas in pies. But that stuff just looked like a mess to me.
I think if I made my own pea soup or mash I’d eat it.
Ahhh, … Mushy pea Pies!
A Fart in every bite.
Thought that was just a NSW thing? Used to hit them up all the time when I was living in Sydney.
Great after a night on the sauce.
Now that presentation looks better than the stock pic I posted above.
at $85 a kilo, you’d expect good steak. this was that. id never bought a steak this expensive, ever haha. Full blood Waygu mb8-9 sirloin. reverse seared in the UDS smoker then seared over screaming hot charcoal on the pro Q. was by far, the best steak I’d ever eaten
Those peas - give you second, third and fourth wind…
they look the gear. nice job man
Okay, okay
I choose WOB’s dish over the Pie Floater.
??
Yours was a SA Pie Floater in Pea Soup.
That one was a Pea topped Pie. a NSW speciality.
I don’t remember the brand name of the ones I used to really like, … but they were like a straight Beef ( not shepherds) Potato topped ones you can get, except Mushy Peas instead of the spud. Bloody good.
Beef or Pork Ribs?
Pork every day.
Beef ribs are horrendously overrated.
@westozziebomber that steak looks epic! Just out of curiosity, do you serve it with a sauce/condiment? I reckon a fresh salsa verde would be magnificent with it.
My Dad sent me a cake
Loved the grass, am told it’s softer than Docklands.
