Farkin oath ban funerals, ban any non essential gathering, in two weeks time it’ll be laughed at as sentimental silliness that they were allowed. Scomo calm and measured? I have been off work since Thursday the week before last, with a slight fever, cough, runny nose and wife the same with more shortness of breath and both easily fatigued. Wife got tested and was negative for the virus.
Because of the timing, if you haven’t had any high risk contacts, it is probably another infection, Influenza A has been going around apparently.
But we all need to be responsible, so good you are in touch with your GP.

Yep OK, thanks for the additional info. Getting in touch with my GP seems like the only sensible option really. I haven’t had any direct high risk contacts, but I do catch public transport every day. Who knows! Still waiting for that phone call…

Banning cultural practices is often met with the most resistance.
Maybe not weddings so much - I think most people are probably open to postponing given the circumstances.
But funerals? They are an extremely emotive time, and can really only be done in a finite period. I am very much in favor of banning mass gatherings, but I’d exempt funerals. Maybe limit the number who can attend the service, and have funeral homes offer video streaming, but banning them all together would be an extremely hard sell. And the public has to buy into this.

But if you want to talk about trust, then in a field of the LNP, any given large company CEO, and the ABC, the ABC is first and daylight second in my books.

I started the year off positive about essendons chances this year, mainly due to caracella coming on board and the richmod connection.
but for 15 years all i’ve ever heard is, oh why don’t you be more positive blah blah what can it hurt.
well this is what happens you end up with a pandemic virus crippling the world.
so next time you lot want to flippantly say oh what can happen if you’re just positive for the sake of it.

Over the past 40 years I have directly dealt with many Politicians, CEOs and ABC reporters.
Only times I was screwed over was by ABC reporters, and other Media reporters. What do you base your experience on; what the Media tells you ??
I remember the scare that SARS caused even in Australia. Living in Singapore it is clear that the repercussions are really the reason why the government was actually prepared and had a plan for dealing with this outbreak. The sheer scale of COVID-19 makes SARS looks like a tiny dot - cases were only reported in 26 countries, with 8,096 confirmed cases and 774 deaths.

seeing the game is shutdown for essentially 2 months anyway, would it be better for the game if all players actually got the virus now and have it out of the way ?
