COVID-19 Round 10 - are we there yet?

I missed a few while on the Adelaide-Uluru-Gold Coast tour in 2019. We won all of the AFL and VFLW games while I did that.

It’s not my fault the vast majority only want to follow teams and leagues that hurt them.

I know this is the Covid thread but I’m pretty sure this was Diggers rationale for jumping ship from Essendon to Sydney

Weak as ■■■■! Just be thankful we’ve actually seen premierships in our lifetimes. Thank ■■■■ I’m not a Dees or Saints fan and have never seen my team win it. We’ve been ■■■■ the past 10-15 years but we will come good. At least I’ll be able to say I never jumped off and stayed through the tough times…

That’s not entirely correct. For new vaccines, like Covid, yes. Testing is carried out as part of the Phase IV Studies (post Marketing Surveillance) as the approval in only temporary (2 years). Much of that data is gathered from the field and relates mainly to safety. Companies hold samples for stability studies and in case of problems in the field in which case the TGA may call for these samples to be tested. The approval process for the manufacture of a vaccine includes scrutiny of the manufacturing where the quality is built into the process and verified through validation protocols. These documents are provided in the Regulatory Package. The TGA also carry our extensive audits of Facilities on a regular basis.

For Covid the TGA were an integral part of the development process of vaccine manufacture at CSL.

The delay in release of the AZ vaccine by the TGA was due to the release of the vaccine from the AZ QA Group, as is their responsibility as the “Owner” of the vaccine. Those release documents are then review ed by the TGA, as well as, the full documentation package provided by CSL (including their test data which is verified by the TGA lab).

For Infuenza Vaccine the first three batches off the line for each variant and for each season are fully tested. Random batches may be tested but field surveillance is always active. The TGA review the batch release documentation but do not test every batch.

Established vaccines require TGA release through documentation review for every batch of vaccines made in Australia (CSL).

Do we know yet where the source of the Brisbane case was?

Genomic link to Princess Alexandra hospital, where the doctor contracted it, but still working through possible contacts, so in the mystery category

Whenever they release the locations an infected person has been in a day or two, it makes me go…what am I doing with my life?

Dude is DECISIVE AF TOO!

Total of 20 minutes and can be in and out of

  • Baskin Robbins
  • Bunnings
  • Guzman Mexican restaurant
  • KFC

If that’s me, I’d still be reconsidering my order, or trying to find someone in a red shirt to help me.

Not the Afl, they are ok.

Can’t believe people aren’t taking up professional sports, clearly if you are one then you have immunity from the virus.

Fancy kicking people out of the stadium for that crap.

Another local case in QLD. Presumably close household contact of old mate from Stafford.

Thought for once ScoMo spoke quite well on the subject and urged states to take a measured response to Queensland’s latest case , saying we’re in a very different place to last year when border controls were extensively implemented.

Yep, two qld cases now.

Very different indeed… nobody has an election coming up.
