I counted 100 tier 1 and 2 sites + the public transport sites and casual exposures (monitor for symptoms) at Westfield Bondi Junction. Gotta be ~200 or so at this stage and rising.

Until now the Tier 1 sites were in the inner east / south. Narellan Vale is way out south near Campbelltown.
Edit: public transport sites don’t include the flights to NZ.

I have a newfound respect for people who wear face masks all day, every day for their jobs. In the office for the first time since the mandatory wearing of masks indoors was enforced. Happy to grin and beat it today but sod doing this Monday-Friday! City is completely dead, wouldn’t surprise me if tumbleweeds started rolling down Collins St.

Apparently Pfizer released a statement yesterday (or perhaps the day before) denying any meeting took place. Was a question regarding at the presser yesterday, Merlino said he had no knowledge of said statement.
And did they deny correspondence (not a meeting) that might be similar never took place?

Interestingly no 2nd dose AZ appointments showing upon in the online system at the MEC or Carlton in August at all. Not sure if that means they aren’t doing any, they’re all booked out (seems unlikely) or they haven’t released bookings for this period (other centers have appointments - eg Alfred AZ community center).
There was a meeting between the Health Department and Pfizer in July 2020 but nothing “sensational” to come out of it, just initial boring meeting according to records

Oh yeah, it’s a load of BS on many levels. Choosing a vaccine that on all evidence was safe and effective and could be manufactured in huge volumes on our own shores was in no way unreasonable.
And had we not wedded ourselves to the completely unsustainable idea of a covid free future, we’d probably be sticking a whole ■■■■ load more of that vaccine into people right now. The only reason we’re not pounding AZ into people of all ages is because the risk from COVID is even less than the 2 deaths and 4 in ICU from the 4 million doses.
But equally we know the slithering snakes in our Federal parliament would be doing everything they possibly can to cover up any sense that cocked up with Pfizer…

MEC seem to release bookings with 2-3 weeks lead time.
