I’ll pay that hehehe

hey all, I was hoping to bum a couple tickets off a mate who’s in the MCC but turns out members are only limited to one ticket each. is this the case for everyone else? and is there any hope of allowing MCC members to buy visitor tickets maybe later in the week?

tickets to the pfizer are reserved from those 60 and under.

I’m legitimately worried about what’s unfolding in Sydney. I feel like it could get out of hand before Sydney can get a handle on it. Plus how they report their numbers isn’t overly transparent, which might lead to complacency towards the restrictions they have brought in to this point.

It is a bit worrying, but the vast majority are unvaccinated school kids infected from parents returning from overseas and not complying with quarantine requirements.
There are a few vaccinated adults being infected, but a. none in serious condition, b. probably still within the 90%+ efficacy rate - i.e. there are many vaccinated people exposed but only a few infected.

And we are now seeing a big vaccine uptake in the 12-20yo range, which is a good thing.

Not overly transparent?
Gladys rejects those claims.

I fear she (and Chant) are leaning on the public too much to do the right thing. I hope it all goes well, but it only takes one idiot to screw it for everyone.

I also think they’ll only go to lockdown if it’s absolutely necessary. Which may be too late. Let’s hope it doesn’t get into Aged Care.

If the numbers double again tomorrow, I could see them locking down Sydney metro

We’ll be back in lockdown ourselves within a fortnight.

Its probably already anonymously spreading from someone who has returned from Sydney, wait til the sewerage warnings begin.

just dont ■■■■ mate

Itll be a slow burn though, masks back on at all times, reduced capacity limits at offices etc, reduced visitors to home then LOCK DOWN 5.0.

Hmm, I still think it’s too early to call. NSW are far less risk averse than other states, grounded on having an exceptional public health system.

My parents had to go to Wagga for an appointment this arvo and said the Hume was bumper to bumper heading South. Looks like they are about to invade Victoria

GO NORTH ■■■■■■■■■

Sky news journo. Probably market testing the idea for the Libs.

That being said other chatter is a large number inbound will give Sydneysiders, a day to prep for a 11:59pm lockdown

I think they’ll lock down for a few days. I think the restrictions placed today were more to set the scene but not create mass panic. Everyone I work with in Sydney is resigned to the fact they’ll lock down.

Before the end of august

I’m due to head up there in a month, and the place I stay is well inside the hot zones…almost on the border of City of Sydney and Inner West.

They’d better get it sorted out toot sweet.

(Yes…I know it’s really tout de suite)

You should get as many gym sessions in as possible in that case.
