They will definitely lockdown but the end of the week. Not sure how severe or how widespread but it will happen and soon. Perhaps announced tomorrow to start Friday.
Gladys has the cover of the delta variant to justify it. Today’s presser was designed to soften up the public to it. When, in the entire history of this thing has a government said “we might bring in even harsher restrictions in coming days” and not done it?
FWIW…
Assuming they keep ticking along at 5 to 10 daily cases.
I don’t think they’ll lockdown this week.
They’ll gradually work to it by Monday.
Continue with pleading that the public reduce their movements.
Then go to LGA lockdowns.
I think they’ll lockdown for three days, try and find the missing infection links, then open straight back up again and try and run with it.
I presume school holidays are around the corner.
But what do these people plan on doing if they end up shut out of their homes because of a lockdown in Sydney?
Honest Kerry was volunteering how helpful the limo driver had been, while Hazzard was shuffling his feet, Gladys referring all Qs about the driver to Hazzard.
There is the outbreak map.
Really tough to map out based on the information at hand. Compare that map to the Melbourne outbreak (albeit at a later time).
Not sure about that. Given the rhetoric over the last 15 months you’d think things would need to be very dire before they enacted a lockdown.
As someone who is living and working in the Bayside and Inner West community - I think we’re ■■■■■■ - too much complacency, still. I really don’t think.enough people are taking it seriously enough. Would love to be proven wrong!
all of this scary BS about how people that are vaccinated can transmit the virus. No data, just rhetoric. Are we to believe that vaccinated people will not be allowed to travel, go without masks etc because somebody somewhere said “ooga booga”.
