Well I think the point is it doesn’t really look like a lockdown at all. ANd until it’s a city wide, and now probably state wide, lockdown there’s absolutely no comparison. It’s a bare faced lie

Victorian premier Daniel Andrews says the Victorian government is working with the Northern Territory and Tasmanian governments to draft a vaccine passport system for national cabinet.
Andrews also defended the national vaccine targets, saying Victoria “had quite a bit to do with writing and drafting” the plan.
He dismissed criticism of the NSW government for signalling that it would ease some restrictions after it hits a target of 50% of the population having their first dose, saying the NSW premier Gladys Berejiklian was an “enthusiastic supporter” of the national plan.
“Every government has signed up to the national plan. Whether some restrictions can be eased in Sydney at a point in time, that’s a matter for the NSW government… rules can change at any time, that doesn’t mean that lockdown is over.”

I imagine the NSW media doesn’t know what to do with themselves. They spent years involving themselves in character assassinations of Daley and Co to get Gladys re-elected, then blew smoke up her backside during the bushfires and lauded her for a ‘gold standard’ covid response, only for it to turn out that hey - this horse we backed actually isn’t a horse, it’s a bag of ■■■■■■■ potatoes and it won’t win us this race.

I have refined my model a bit.
I get:
- Monday 16/8: 440 (but may be depressed due to low Sunday testing)
- Friday 20/8: 500ish
- Tuesday 24/8: 600ish
- Saturday 28/8: 700ish
- Wednesday 1/9: 800ish
