I didn’t realise she was Canadian!

Are we beating the sheep shaggers?

NSW have made some changes.
You now need a permit to leave Greater Sydney.

Not sure how that hasn’t been in place yet.
For memory, during our lockdown, you need permission to leave and separate permission to enter whatever state you’re going.

Another example of NSW half arsing their way through this.
Seriously, if it wasn’t for their contact tracing efforts, they’d be totally farked.

Columbia is a film studio, Colombia is the country.

Oops. You’d think I should know this given all the tv I have been watching lately.

Scrolling through her twitter feed she’s been a health care worker for a while, well into last year. She’d be Phase 1b at the vey least. So that’s end of March for access to a jab.

Not clear why she is where she is.

You’d hope (wish) Colombia and Mexico are a lot more advanced with their vaccine rollout since their deaths (per million) are 64 and 51 times more compared to Australia. And cases (per million) are 63 and 15 times more.

BREAKING NEWS

NSW will introduce tougher lockdown restrictions, including permits to leave Greater Sydney and formal nominations of single bubble partners

"Greater Sydney residents will need a permit to leave the region, under a swathe of new rules to tighten the state’s lockdown laws.

The new rules were agreed upon during a crisis meeting of the NSW Cabinet this afternoon, and also include a restriction on people using their holiday homes.

Under that rule, people from locked-down areas are not allowed to travel to their second homes, except under special circumstances, such as maintenance, and only one person will be able to attend.

From Monday, anyone who needs to isolate while awaiting COVID-19 test results will receive a special payment.

The Victorian government introduced a similar $450 payment during its second-wave lockdown last year to discourage people from working while waiting on test results.

Under the tightened restrictions, people in Greater Sydney’s 12 local government areas of concern (Bayside, Blacktown, Burwood, Campbelltown, Canterbury-Bankstown, Cumberland, Fairfield, Georges River, Liverpool, Parramatta, Strathfield, and parts of Penrith) who are taking part in a singles bubble will need to register the name of their single buddy.

The nominated pair must also live within a five-kilometre radius of each other.

More to come.

Had my 1st AZ jab Wednesday morning at the Frankston vaccine hub. Was good to see at least 200 others there doing the same.

I felt okay all afternoon then at 9pm the symptoms kick in. 36hours later it’s all passed.

There are many great things from Colombia. The country itself is stunning for the most part, the people on the whole are friendly and very hospitable, coffee, chocolate, Arequipe, a guava jelly called bocadillo, a particular style of empanadas and arepas the best rotisserie chicken I’ve eaten.

Just wish they had done this at 50 cases, rather than waiting for it to get to around 400 cases a day. They had to do this - a month ago.
