As its all voluntary there is a waiting list. These people are doing the right thing by protecting their families and the community.

Active case load is still predominantly in the younger group.

I think we’re better prepared for this wave than NSW were. Hopefully we can reduce the damage through Aged Care and not have as many hospital outbreaks. :crossed_fingers:

Not sure if this is the right thread for this, but is anybody (or are anybody else’s families or friends anti-vax?) And has it caused any issues / rifts in your family?

My wife’s side are all hard anti-vax and the constant bombardment of anti-vax rhetoric from them is turning my wife to their side, which I can see is going to cause issues for us in the future. She is adamant that she will not get the vaccine, and talks jokingly about not ever being able to go to places again. I am not overly keen on the vax either, however I want to be able to take a job of my choosing, go to sporting events and gigs, play sport, and be able to go to my local club for a meal…so I am quite sure I will end up getting the jab in the near future, whereas my wife right now seems to have no desire, all because of the anti-vax ‘information’ has been spewing out from her family. And when / if I do decide to get the jab, I think it’s going to cause major arguments at home and among the family.

It’s a tricky situation to be in, and wondering if anyone else is going through similar issues.

Funny.

We’ll beat our old record yet in this wave. And then later this year or early next, when we open up, we’ll see a much bigger jump in higher daily cases again, but by then, that won’t be the key metric we’re watching anymore.

Can we pay Billington to lower his projections?
