I don’t mind which of COVID or the meteorite (further) end the season.
Hard to know whether no crowds would be a bigger advantage for the Dogs or Melbourne given that it is still ski season.
WA presser, NSW truckie in WA, NSW Health has advised of +ve. travelled through SA (, have returned to NSW ???)
- tested -ve before he and co driver left NSW, driver advised of +ve test at Eucla
Only 48 hours in WA, slept in their truck
ANNOUNCE - will not affect GF
Boooooo
It’s actually not a meteorite until it impacts the earth and becomes debris, until then it is technically just a meteor
That’s the point: I don’t want some crappy shooting star, it needs to throroughly end the game (and before half-time, so no winner is declared).
Take it to the blame thread champ
Come onnnnnn, people.
Use the right thread.
We’re still running 65% first doses to 35% 2nd doses.
NSW has flipped to the other way with 2nd doses out numbering first doses significantly
I’d expect once we reach that 80% first dose figure next week, we’ll see 2nd doses surge after that.
I don’t understand when I hear some people say they they think the vaccine is really great and helpful and people should get it, but also say they respect people’s decision not to get one if they don’t want to.
Are these people just trying not to be controversial?
I think people should be able to choose what they do with their body, but that doesn’t mean they should be allowed entry into high risk areas and jobs until the worst of the pandemic has past.
Agreed. You just never seem to hear that second part enough though hey. Well I don’t anyway.
They always have been and always will be able to choose.
Just because one of the choices also includes ‘lose your job’, and you don’t like that choice, doesn’t mean people are being forced to do anything
free to not get the jab, free to not be given a job.
Are any of them protesting about decisions by commercial enterprises to deny them jobs and access to premises.
Why is it only about Govts mandating vax?
Corporations have started mandating vaccination. I believe QANTAS has?
Couldn’t get a first dose for younger teenage until mid Oct, so probably going to be that way for a while.
You should be able to get Moderna at a pharmacy from next week.
Just checked, Priceline has heaps next week at lots of their pharmacies.
It’s great, the accessibility of Moderna through the pharmacies. Got a young one booked in next week.
Give it another two weeks, 2nd doses will be absolutely surging.
Okay… so here’s the most coherent anti vax message I saw on Facebook earlier…
So…
Apparently the vaccine does create anti bodies. But they are solely anti bodies related to the original wuhan strain. So apparently it doesn’t defend against other strains. They don’t say that efficacy is reduced, just it doesn’t defend.
The other side of this is that by taking the vaccine, your natural anti bodies are over powered by the anti bodies of the vaccine. So they are rendered useless.
I doubt this is correct. I thought anti bodies can continually be created regardless of what virus you attract. And there isn’t one anti body that overpowers all others.
Also, the case load, hospitalisation and deaths do not align with the above thinking.
@Chris_1993 @Glu @kesslin
This had me stumped.
