I often ponder what parameters will need to be met. Hope Iām wrong but donāt think covid will ever be eradicated, meaning that new cases will forever arise. What amount of cases would be low enough? Or is it a matter of the % of the population that is vaccinated? And what constitutes āvaccination?ā Two jabs? 3?
Vic could learn a thing or to from NSW. All construction sites open from next Monday, if unvaccinated turn up for work, only 50% workforce permitted. No mandating, no riots, workers getting vacced to ensure their mates can come to work.

Two things:
- The rioters may have started off on day one with a few tradies among the few hundred outside CFMEU, but there have been very few since. Itās a small number of mainly extremists marching for their right to open up now, sack Dan Andrews and not be vaccinated amongst other very fringe demands. It has little to nothing to do with tradies after day one.
- Weāre a couple of weeks behind NSW in vax levels. Construction sites have literally been closed for 2 weeks to give us time to catch up to NSW vax levels, so we can dampen the increasing numbers until they start to level off and reduce. Itās hardly the end of an industry. The vast majority of construction workers havenāt said a word.

Unless another vaccine swap can be agreed, it would seem that we are going to miss getting to the 80% double vaxed target by Cup day.
Allocations slightly increase in October vs September, but only after existing jab swaps are taken into account. The big underlying supply boost from our Pfizer order still seems to be having issues.

Itās also more or less the previous Vic arrangement - 90 percent vaxxed would permit 50 percent workforce.
Which leads into another thought - the theoretical 25 percent who were allowed to work - and likely could have kept working - made a "decision"for the 75 percent who were stuck at home. Deadset arseholes.
