COVID-19 Round 17 - get vaxed, get waxed, get ready to climax

The issue seems to be some states (which I see now includes Tas) pushing for 90% before state borders open.

Perhaps they better start preparing a pitch at Geelong. I don’t think the MCG or SCG should have more than one test each.

Flying into Gold Coast to do their quarantine, then that gives Brisbane the first test, as per the schedule.

SA previously said their domestic border is open at 80% - if it stays at that, then an Adelaide test might be possible early in the new year - very dicey for the original Adelaide slot. Perth’s not happening, so Adelaide can take that slot.

Canberra (or even Geelong) could take the original Adelaide slot.

This guy has lost his good sources and is just guessing now

Seems to be still ok, just not being fed specific info.

We won’t need shenanigans to make sure we win. It will be a flogging wherever the tests are played

Nah, he’d still have the same sources in the Health Dept.
Had a hiatus from twitter, probably tired of deadshits who live to troll.

They will be coming from another state so if they are fully vaxxed they will be allowed to come with zero quarantines.
Marshall has indicated 100% capacity at ground of 53k with spectators from Victoria and NSW welcome as long as double dosed and not been in a hotspot

What are they aiming for then and how do they hope to get there? As it stands we’re not due to hit 80% DD until early December. Fml.

Nope, he has clearly stated once SA is 80% DD he will allow people from Victoria, NSW and ACT to enter if they are double dosed and haven’t been in a hotspot. Aiming for around December 1st for that to happen. WA and Tasmania have indicated they may close to us if that happens

The level of bickering between states is absolutely nauseating. Just grow up and move forward as a collective FFS.

It will be a close run thing, SA at 80% by the start of December. Given the scheduled test starts two weeks later, there could be a bit of nervousness about that schedule.

But for the states requiring 90%, they have effectively excluded themselves. Tas might get there this year. WA is going to take quite some time, many months. And Qld only gets out of jail being the initial quarantine site.

Yeah it seems pretty disheartening for people looking to leave or return. I do not understand the requirement to quarantine at all if you’re fully vaxxed and entering at state that is 80%+ vaxxed. What threat do you pose that the average person doesn’t? Seems like madness to me.

Except you have to appreciate that Marshall and McGowan had done well in keeping COVID at bay. So easy for the zombies here in Victoria and in NSW to whinge.

In fact if we had let the Feds run the COVID drama, a lot more of us would be sick and dead.

It’s just annoying they are making people wait even longer but not actively doing anything to try and get our vax rates catching up to other states. It’s really frustrating.

Same. You would think a trip to, say NZ in Dec / Jan would be no more risky than a train to the CBD.
I would have thought testing would be sufficient.

To the SA folk, can you extract the digit on the Jab’s?

Mrs H and myself want to come and visit middle Humble daughter in Adelaide, its been a long time. Our last effort ended in a mid air drama and turn around.

We will drive this time.

Well it must have been a good guess, because he was right, again.

I remember that, you ended up in a hotel room on arrival and then out the next day as I recall? I felt really sorry for you.

The problem being that all of NSW, ACT and Victoria are likely to be hotspots at that time given we’ll have opened up by then.

Bring a tent in case you have to camp on the border waiting for your approval.
