nothing. You get a thumbs up and a ‘we cant ease restrictions or movement too early’ line.
Young Glu; you get loves and hugs from me. Keep up the great work
As it should be.
So if the target was 30-50 cases on the 24 day average, what happens if we come under? Surely a lil bonus for the good people of Victoria.
If there’s any bone thrown with regards to restrictions on Sunday night, it’ll be minor and around the margins. For example, public gathering restrictions which are set to go to 5 from two households from the 28th may be relaxed slightly to say 10. This restriction was basically ignored by a huge number on the weekend just gone anyway, easing it from 5-10 across two households might see more people actually comply as opposed to having 20 people across 4 house holds miraculously landing at the same place by sheer coincidence…
There’ll definitely be no easing of venues etc.
15 and 5
Ave under 30. CT down to 41.
would love to see a test number in the mid teens. Would represent our lowest +ive test rate in a long long time.
They should start suburb door to door testing.
It doesn’t need to be mandatory but it would capture enough data to get a better picture.
Or better still work places.

And this…
Wastewater samples will be increasingly useful in detecting infections as the number of new coronavirus cases continues to fall, Deputy Chief Health Officer Allen Cheng says.
Unknown sources have halved in 5 days.
Great job by the contact tracing team.
I’m going to have to start tracking that stay…
Good news. Keep it up, please!

still too early for sentinel testing to be off much use. too much virus still around the place.
You would want the systems in place to be positioned for lower numbers I assume
For sure. But specifically in the case of Melb Metro, it’s only of limited use because the sampled areas are so broad. ie: Metro is divided into 2 zones for sampling purposes and not down to specific LGA or post codes. Not sure if they’ve been able to make this more targeted yet.

Yep. When Dan was questioned about this from a Journo who mentioned the restrictions being ignored at parks, he was fazed.
At my local park, families were catching up at parks, sitting at tables without wearing masks for longer than 2hrs (I was there for 2hrs exact and many groups were there before I arrived).
Cops can’t fine em all which is the mentality sadly.
Step 2 seems a fait accompli now. All about hitting the marks for Step 3.
Has been for a week or more. Not only will we hit step 2, we’ll be quite a way under the threshold.
I just want to feel important by saying obvious things, choppsuey. Let me have it.
