I had that issue LD1.
I’ve been really good this one. Get up early everyday like it’s a regular work day and walk for 1 hour.
Much more structured so I actually look forward to the weekend.
I also just went for a skate at Northcote Skate Park. No one around.
council obviously hasn’t poored sand in the bowl then!
Not yet. It’s right next to the cop shop so people behave.
Maybe this should be in the Dumb Questions Amnesty thread - but how do you appreciate gins like that? I mean, adding mixers like tonic masks any special flavour .Also, for me at least, I have not appreciated tasting gins straight up, unlike whiskies.
Gin is just flavoured Vodka, (specifically must have Juniper to be “Gin”) and you can make your own overnight, using whatever botanicals you like.
Me too.
Yum.
More cooking today, on the soup bandwagon but it’s such a cracking day outside it doesn’t feel like soup weather. I haven’t put on any weight thankfully, but then again I only weigh about 70kgs so it’s pretty hard to fatten me up!
Soup weather in Canberra this weekend!
How was it mate? I love Estelle.
We actually did the Gin tasting last night as we had a trivia night on.
We are doing it tonight. I can’t wait.
There are videos that go with it and it all looks pretty easy. I’ll let you know.
Back to 11 degrees tomorrow, so the warmer winter weather will be shortlived. Absolutely gorgeous out there today, just back from a walk, but it’s a veritable ghost town out there. Would be a nice day to be out and about, beer garden at a pub, lunch at a cafe, I’d love to be out in the nets doing some pre-season batting practice, but not to be…
Dutch Bols gin with fresh baby herrings ( if you can get them:) and chopped onions
Was great fun.
Food was awesome and easy to prepare.
Shared a bottle of Champas and I’m going to now try and get a leg over.
Currently listening to Hendrix records, drinking cask wine by the pint and trying to forget the world is totally ruined…
‘If I dont see you no more in this world, I’ll meet you in the next one…and dont be late’
Words to live by.
Nice Record Collection!
Thanks. It means more to me now than it ever has. Not that I’ve taken it for granted. But simple pleasures have never meant so much.
That’s easily my favourite track.
Dialled up to 11, epic.
This could go in the beer thread also, but it fits here too.
One ISO activity I have been doing (apart from writing new material) is rekindling my interest in home brew.
I ordered three hop varieties online from an unusual plant nursery. Not ornamental ones you get from your run of the mill joint.
“Pride of Ringwood”, “Tasmanian cascade” and “East Kent Golding”.
I will be planting them on Sat and running wires up the wall of my shed for the bines.
I dont care what you think, gardening is cool
Hops you say…
Pride of Ringwood sounds like a different plant species all together
