Cricket Part II

Okay, gonna lose my ■■■■ soon…

I think a lot of today’s lineup (Warner, Finch, Head, Marsh, maybe Stoinis) made their case for international inclusion mostly if not almost entirely as power hitters. People who watch more domestic one day and first class cricket can correct me on that. Strike rotation via singles from well placed and well weighted shots is something they then add to their game on the fly. In T20 it feels like strike rotation mostly comes through mishits.

Also, and this is tinged with nostalgia obviously, 10-15 years ago we had much better players.

Now that’s good batting.
1,1,1,4,1,1.

Bill really wants Marsh to start slogging.

grin
Glad someone passed the batsmen my little note.

I swear Bill Lawry called that first 6 as “that’s a Tom Hanks.” He didn’t though, right?

He did. A pop culture marvel is Bill. It’s “BIG” he screamed.

Well I’ll be.

Could you send them another note Wim?

Nah, tracking well now.
Should have been looking at 350-400, but you can’t go back in time.

I thought he did too. Maybe he thought Tom Hanks played Tom Mix in a movie once.

Nice straight ball/wrong 'un.
Pretty ordinary shot.

Expecting 310-320.
And England to struggle to make 240.

Having said that, if England can knock them over for 270 then we have a game.

That avergae batting first (last 10 games) of 278 looks about right to me.

wtf is this?

I’m warming to Taylor as a commentator.

270’s looking in trouble.

Yeah, I may have gloomered that a bit.
