It is a spectacle to see a Tasmanian with a job.
Players got out to rubbish shots.
I hate the Aussie cricket team. Iâve been a Windies supporter for years.
Thatâs said, I yearn for the days when players averaging 50+ in shield cricket couldnât get a look in. Hello Jamie siddons and Stuart law.
Muppet with averages in the 30s getting a gig nowâŚ
I hope our inability to convert starts into centuries doesnât cost us again.
Head may have some issues facing the short ball and spin and he may not offer much in the field, but he is making a habit of scoring runs when the team needs him to.
Handscomb needs to hit some form quickly or I fear Mitch Marsh will get a recall.
Trav is a pretty good fielder. He has 3x 50âs in his first 7 digs which is pretty good in anyoneâs language. He still has plenty to work on and knows he needs to start converting these starts
Didnât he get 4 or 5 90s before his first ton?
Yeah he isnât a bad fielder, just not a specialist like some of the others on the fringe.
He certainly has impressed getting IN when the team needs him to, which shows that heâs made of the right at stuff. As does being made state captain.
Itâs just a shame that he has developed a bit of habit getting his half century and then losing his wicket. Fortunately for him aussie cricket isnât exactly flowing with good batsmen at the moment.
There was another bloke from yesteryear who took a while to get his first hundred. Guy by the name of Steven Waugh.
Any relation to Stephen Waugh?
It was meant to be âSteve Waughâ
Apple helpfully added an ânâ
4 off the top of my head. 3 of them were in consecutive SS games including back to back 98âs
Yep, he should get a roasting for the manner of his dismissal today but his spot in the middle order should be safe as can be right now. Heâs actually looking pretty good at the crease.
gold.
Disgraceful shot.
Knowing Trav he is still probably out in the nets now, he is his own harshest critic
If Australia can get to 300 in their first innings, they wonât lose.
India facing the current Australian attack on this pitch will be lucky to score 200 in their first innings.
Head is looking more and more comfortable each time he bats.
Massive first session tomorrow
being the home team can we elect a heavy roller in the morning?
I think we can get 350
Hope the quicks spend plenty of time in the crease, get a fell for the pitch
A very reasonable 29c today.
Australia wonât lose now. The only thing that will stop them is if the pitch miraculously flattens out. If it continues to behave like on day 1 or gets even more erratic, N Lyon will provide T Paine with the option of following them on.
Ok, maybe not that much of a hiding but I canât see the Indians surpassing Austâs tally on a wicket that is the opposite of what theyâre accustomed to.
I would expect it to flatten out over the next day and a half before taking turn on the 4th day
Overcast today as well.
So youâll be ok to leave the house then?
