Damien Hardwick

Ie: They we’re soft!

He wasn’t wrong about us.

Lol, good luck Gold Coast.

Fair point.

As I keep correcting you on, this has been happening a lot longer than 5-6 years. The club has been a basket case for 20 years.

But you seem to think all the club’s problems stem from the Saga, which is completely incorrect.

I’m sure every single coach in the competition thinks our players are a bunch of spuds, and they’re right lol

I have been calling this team a bunch of spuds for about 20 years, and people seem to think I’m too negative.

I’m yet to be proven wrong.

I think we will be neck and neck with the Suns for a finals spot next season.

As some have already said… this would be pretty normal coach-to-playing group dialogue but keep it in the memory bank all the same.

“Spuds”. lol. So hurtful, me all upset n’ stuff.

Hasn’t anyone said much, much worse about an opposition when you’re angry about your performance in a loss?? Hilarious.

Good thought we needed another live thread to talk about we are a basketcase

We are worse than a bunch of spuds. Spineless, lazy and mentally fragile are the words he should have used.

Joke of a club for the past 2 decades.

Interesting take on it

Remember when Paul Chapmen said Geelong would never lose to Hawthorn again. Well I could be wrong but I don’t think any Geelong side he was playing in ever did. Wouldn’t you love the bombers playing group to say something like this about Hardwick and then back it up.

I agree that our team was a bunch of spuds

In saying that, look at the team richmond fielded that night. That team was absolute horseshit

I was filthy we managed to let Samson Ryan kick a goal on us that night. The majority of blitz members would go close to keeping him statless

I’m not sure there was anything factually incorrect there.

And yeah, our current playing list should be forced to read it.

I think the story here is that Cotchin is comfortable in letting it out in the public. The story would still mean the same if he just left out the put down.

Difference being Geelong were a champion team at that point. They beat most teams most weeks.

We could try that but we are nowhere near good enough being able to pull it off.

We are talking about Gold Coast, not that Hawthorn side.

And as I’ve said to you previously, I don’t entirely agree abd you won’t convince me otherwise… And that’s it.

I agree there’s been a cultural breakdown post the Sheedy era but where I disagree with you strongly, and others, is the environment around Essendon and how this manifests itself on the field by way of attitude and output is largely born out of the supplements saga.

You I believe argue it’s almost entirely Dodoros fault. I believe it’s a whole of club problem. Only way out is to address each area of the club in itself and find the right solutions for each. Not just this area or that area by itself…

You disagree. So be it.
