Damien Hardwick

Vozzo is a lawyer.

To suggest Xavier, an actual footballer, is less of a football CEO than a lawyer is a guess.

I think people would be surprised at just how small football departments are due to the Soft Cap and that you often have people wearing many different hats at once.

I’d think the trade period is the most important thing on the CEO’s agenda during October and if he had skill in the area they should be involved in some capacity.

Or we should be putting it up on our bedroom wall or as a calendar reminder that this is where our club sits in the eyes of everyone else.

Chill…… We see things from different perspectives. No need to get feisty about it.

Campbell was excellent commercially and did a good job seeing us through and out of the saga. I think Vozzo is doing a pretty good job fixing football. The commercial side the jury’s out.

To be fair, I’m counting a number of spuds (and about 22 ■■■■■)

Our players ARE NOT SPUDS!!!

Spuds are a reliable staple.

Our players are turnips.

They turnip when they feel like it.

Things might have been different had Hardwick known how to prepare for a job interview. He learnt that the hard way at Essendon, and did a proper interview at Richmond. The rest is history but I’m still pissedoff that he couldn’t show us the least respect in presenting for interview, but just used us to practise on, before doing a serious interview at Richmond. Once a kent always a kent.

it’s a perfect little circle jerk a few of them have set up.

they get to sit their on their high horse looking down on anyone who dares to question the club as a whole. they defend most and almost every decision the club makes, defend the players etc etc.
They have been wrong for said 20 years, so exponentially so that it’s the worst period in the clubs history, littered with absolutely atrociously poor decisions and outcomes, to which these people constantly cheer on because the view blind obedience as the only form of support, and are constantly wrong on almost of all their assertions, and you know what happens ??

They rock up in 2024 on their high horse proclaiming their views are the be all because anyone who doesn’t agree with them is just negative, or pessimistic or never happy or insert ironically any other negative assertion they can think of to label someone.

Again it’s an absolutely great circle jerk of a system they’ve inbuilt into their psyche and persona about being a better supporter, yet constantly wrong and supportive of again the worst period in the clubs history.

And that, son, is how the thread came to die.

If I was Brad scott I’d be using that to drive the players day one of preseason sit the players down and show them that line

Put it up on the walls you lot reckon

Yeah, im sure that will instantly fix our diabolical foot skills, injury list every year, gaping holes in the list and our physically weak midgets/beanpoles into strong, contested beasts with a thirst for the contest

The players are what they are. Dont blame them, blame the recruiter

Would be nice inspiration against the Suns, but also would be nice to start a longer winning streak against the tigers now, beat them while they are down.

You never fail to deliver the sewage.

Who on earth cares? Dude is a bona fide junkie. I hope none of our players care what he says. We shouldn’t need him to motivate us.

Exactly lol, might as well put up a sign saying “grow 10cm” for all the good it will do to fix our problems

He did know how to prepare. He was fully prepared with everything on his laptop. Then Hawthorn did the dirty o him and said that they owned the laptop and he wasn’t permitted to use it for an Essendon presentation.

So he had to ad lib his presentation on the day. He should have done better, that’s true, but the ■■■■■■■■ on the Board should still have been able to make the right decision.

So why didn’t he have the brains to buy his own laptop and transfer all the necessary files over to it before the interview ?

How true

shows why you should always have a backup copy

True. But how many of us actually do? I don’t have backup copies of anything.
