At least he’s done the job before & has been involved at a footy club, unloke Auld… It’s something at least. Certainly not filling me with excitement though.

Man, this club is pathetic.
Who exactly could we have appointed, who was available? That’s something we need to consider before we go silly about who they actually appointed.
And let’s be honest, you lot wouldn’t be excited regardless of who they appointed. Nor have you lot interviewed them or have any idea about their abilities to do the job.

Meh. May or may not be good. The problem is the AFL is smaller than everyone inside it thinks and the boys club culture means the odds of getting great staff is low.
Out of all the people that applied for the role, who would you have picked that you would like?

When you get demoted from your job it just means you are no good at it, and your employer has found or can find someone who is much better than you.
Why do we then go an chase these people for really important positions which needs filling? Xavier is absolutely incompetent at this part of his role.

Not a guy who has been in charge of a team that has played finals once in his 7 years, and the team is now going backwards again.
I would much rather Ross Lyon, or even Brad Scott over Mahoney.
He was demoted this year, just like Richardson was before we got him.
