You are right in terms of employees but he has amassed a fortune and is doing something right.

I would love him to come out and say we deserve nothing and any success will be based on hard work not history.

Seriously, did anyone see “future president” in Welsh as a player? Wasn’t his greatest achievement (allegedly) performed in Vegas in the off season? I won’t elaborate.

This is your classic Essendon insider of the last couple decades that thinks “we are Essendon” and we’re only a few shrewd recruits away from where we “deserve to be”.

I would bet any money he will personally ensure we hang onto Merrett. The rebuild is fkd.

I asked Melissa Verner Green who actually was ON THE BOARD with him what made him qualified as a Director letalone President and her response was that he is “tough. Competitive.” Seriously, what the ■■■■?

Never a dull moment at this club. I just hope this is a tactical move to keep the knives away from the footy department. id be fascinated to find out whats involved with running a club as president.

I dont know much about Andrew Welsh as a businessman/board member, but hed have to be the youngest president weve had in a very long time. Hope he has more energy than the other blokes to tackle this job. it seems like its an absolute nightmare of a job.

The Mark Casey mates club rears it’s ugly head again. In a competition that has Carlton and West Coast it is an incredible indictment to say we’re beholden to the whims of the top end of town more than any club in the AFL

Also, if the James Kelly rumour is true then thats ■■■■■■■ fantastic. Kelly has been part of the most successful culture in the game for the past couple of decades and already has some exposure to the club.
