They’re a huge issue issue, the bigger one is who puts forward their replacements….
Our coteries have too much power, influence and stupidity.
For the love of god David, if you’re listening to us, do this review properly and leave no stone unturned. There should be no default support for Xavier Campbell the fan base and members by and large have had a gutful of the way the club is run, it’s become a glorified merch stand with little soul. Xavier has been the head of this cultural shift from our perspective. 26 year member with auto renewal cancelled at this stage. Like many others I will be watching closely how things prevail.
Wouldn’t hurt to be more respectful of people throughout the process please.

I dont expect running commentary, but if he knows about this place to spruik for votes, then he should know enough to read the room for supporters sentiment.
Was a wholly unimpressive interview. In fact, its hard to imagine a worse week for him. He was duped into having the numbers to make a move, which in itself is not a bad thing. Old man Brasher talking about incremental changes and not transformative, when its clear that we need seismic changes to recalibrate this club.
But from the outside looks like he was played by Sheedy in an attempt to bring back Hird, has presided upon the most appalling management of Rutten, and went balls deep in trying to land Clarko only to spectacularly fail. It’s actually hard to see how he can recover from this?
I think if anyone on the board had any integrity, they should resign or conduct a board spill because its clear that there are factions, and they have not delivered upon their responsibilities. Ratifying Campbells contract and trying to sneak it through without announcement should have been enough, but this last week has been a disaster from go to whoa (and the week is still not over!)

Probably finish 3rd last this season “and have an unexpectedly high finish in 2023 (jacked up by a soft draw).”
Incidently. Its not a “draw” its a “fixture”, fixed by the AFL. Its does not do middle range clubs ( or cellar dweller clubs) any favours, except to propel them into 7th or 8th, and after they lose, make it even harder to get to 7th or 8th the following season

I just saw the press conference and nothing is going to change. Just the same old misguided belief that the EFC is entitled to be successful without understanding what it takes in today’s environment to be successful. We are irrelevant. Feeling so flat and sad at the moment.
