I think Marvel is our only hope tonight. We have a very slow side taking the field and it would be torn up at the “G”. Marvel makes it easy to lock things down and take pace out of the game 
We will need 4 wins to make finals.
We are going to need to beat Sydney here, West Coast and Kangas. They’re the easy ones.
We will need to win one of Doggies/GWS away or Collingwood.
I actually have more faith we could knock over the pies than the doggies.
Tonight is going to suck. I won’t watch for my sanity, but I’ll check scores and hope for a miracle.
One of my favourite things is enjoying a fri/sat night win and absorbing all the media and basking in the W.
And, being a fairly ■■■■ team for a long time…I get limited exposure to that feeling. Is this our first Friday night game this year? Feels like it.

Last week really deflated me. I loved the way the team were playing this year. Even when we’ve lost we’ve had a crack. I was hopeful that we’d have a real crack against Geelong, even down at Kardinia Park – I didn’t think we’d win, but I thought we’d have a go.
We didn’t. We lay down and let them do what they wanted. It was even worse than the game earlier this year at the G. Much worse.
And now we face Footscray, who always have a go. Are our guys going to bounce back after last week and hit hard from the opening bounce? I hope so, but for some reason I have a feeling that maybe not this time. Even if we’re at our best we’ll struggle against their midfield and marking forwards.
I’ll be there tonight but I’m not expecting to enjoy myself very much.

I’ve got no idea what to expect tonight. The gap between our first half against the crows and our first quarter against the Cats is way too big.
Hoping we bring the fire, but concerned we look a bit slow.
