Dons v Cats - TUES 25th 7.10pm @ the Cattery

The first quarter was magnificent. Martin and Zerrett were sublime. To be fair by the last quarter both teams were dead on their feet.

Parade boys got the job done tonight. Made me a little bit proud as an Old Paradian!

Didn’t see any of the game, just seen the stats, how did Shiel and Jones play in their roles? Both seemed to have a bit of it

And I don’t think Bryan played Q1!

Jones very good, Shiel involved as always but without looking at DE % I’d have said he kicked more to gfc than efc, also some typical cat like behaviour when expecting contact

Like I said earlier we already look better. The intensity and pressure we saw tonight is exactly what I saw in match practice at training over summer.

Brad is lifting standards

Gresham’s really hit back in the second half.
McKay was much better in the 3rd.
Thought Roberts was very good also.
First time in year’s we might have some depth.
Really enjoyed Reid and Hayes’ games.

Duursma will be glad that was a preseason match!

If 2MP is surplus too needs if Draper stays on.

Trade to Brisbane for Coleman.

Shiel was …. Shiel. Some good attack. Didn’t go when he needed to a few times.

Jones ran a lot. Good marking up and down the wing. Drifted into the forward line for a couple of marks. Hit the post and passed one off for a turnover. Seems a bit stop start when he is in a chain of possessions.

ESSENDON HAVE DEFEATED GEELONG

I don‘t care if it‘s a friendly. We have defeated the cats. What a great momentum booster heading into the new season beating a bogey team. I‘m feeling more confident about our chances.

For those still worried or concerned about the regular season. enjoy it be happy and have a great day.

Was told to play the Stringer role. Did it literally with 2 goals from limited touches. On track for 42
