I agree, they were pretty good that game though. Terrific hit out, let’s see how it all works in a month. Certainly some young talent in Tsatas, Caddy and Kako. Don’t forget Reid.

Martin is too good to play traditional wing where he has to stay wide and away from the ball. His role tonight was peeeeerfect. Start half forward and then run anywhere he wants.

Green shoots in the forward line. Kako, Edwards, Caddy, easily shoulð get a goal a game.
Ridley back is very important. One of our top players, also Reid displays class disposal and will improve. He is not an 18 year old any more but even with so few games he is not a panic merchant.
We should be better this season, but need to be able run out a full season and get 12+ wins

Backline need some time together to work it out. Still feel like McKay is gonna Clanger everything when he goes near it.
They aren’t picking SEH after not playing him tonight. They’re also picking Shiel whether you like it or not. I doubt both Hobbs and Setters play too.

For me, the most exciting thing, is that every week going forward, it seems like team selection is going to be a massive headache.
with a changing of the guard … some of the deadwood is now eliminated (no offence intended to any particular individual).
I personally think Tsatas Kicking has improved massively, many may still see it as a weakness, but compared to last year… he looks a different player, and just imagine how good he will become at extracting the pill in a traffic jam, he’s already scary good.
There are going to be unlucky players missing at selection every week.

Amazing the way we moved it without having a Kelly or Hep to stop, prop and slow down the movement. At least Shiel puts speed on the ball even if it does get turned over once for every 2 kicks.

It really annoys me watching McGrath get the ball and then immediately turning towards the backline so that he can then kick it straight over his left shoulder. I know this might be a little bit of drama, but it’s exactly what it looks like every time he goes to kick the ball.

His drop off since his b&f year has been massive. Turns 29 in September he ain’t getting back to his best that won him the medal

Martin, Durham and Perkins 6 goals that is what I am most excited about the hyrid forward line and add Dursma that can also play HF, Wing and HB and hit the scoreboard.
Jones* 27 touches 12 marks ready to explode wing at that height that can drift forward and back and create mismatches for opposition. His ground level work has improved and 2nd efforts are good. Covers lots of K’s found his spot.
