And if he breaks down and is out for 10 weeks? Why take a risk on him? Until they get their new fitness and conditioning team in place I wouldn’t be taking any risks whatsoever. There’s no point.

Then he doesn’t play again this year and they try something innovative again leading into pre season which is 12 weeks away.
And the new S & C manager has another body of data to assess what has been done in rehab, and pinpoint what he or she thinks can be done better.
