With the tigers losing today I don’t think it matters anymore. We could win 2 more and finish 14th and dees 15th. We can’t catch port and saints on % so we may as well try for wins v saints and blues
St Kilda should be okay. But beating Carlton could be quite problematic vis a vis Melbourne’s position. Particularly given they count for 2 spots.
Out
Shiel, Merrett, Goldy, May.
In
Unwin, Davey, Vigo, Gerreyn.
Would that be everyone on our list including the 4 MSD pick?

You want McGrath to captain the side if Merrett is injured ? Oooookaaaaaay…
Yes it would include everyone. What a predicament we are in this year, those changes would equate to:
Shiel (231), Merrett (249), Goldy (340), May (7) = out 827 games
Unwin (0), Davey (20), Vigo (2), Gerreyn (0) = in 22 games
Go Essington!
Bloody hell! Davey can’t make emergency when the cupboard is literally bare.
Scott obviously doesn’t rate him and his papers are stamped in triplicate.
That comes with being a bottom 4 team with 15 injured players.
There’s zero chance Langford is recalled. Seriously? If he’s selected, I’d suggest Essendon have failed him and put his fitness at risk yet again. He needs to build up over the next two weeks. His year should be finished. Why risk a late preseason start?
Langford played yesterday in the reserves..

After today I think Melbourne could win one of their last 2 anyhow.
It’s possible but the good thing we have going for us is both Hawks and Pies have a lot to play for and should get the job done still. No dead rubbers which plays to our advantage.
Collingwood losing was the best result for us, didnt want them winning and possibly go into the last game with nothing on the line
Think the Windsor bad hammy in 4th Qtr today was a big blow for Demons. That was an obvious season ending hammy. They rely on his pace and dare.
Agree. And hopefully a note of caution for our esteemed and capable coaches to not risk Langford by being tempted to bring him in this week.
Why not if he is ready?
What on earth does the Windsor injury have to do with how Essendon manages Langford?
They aren’t even remotely comparable.
I’d argue he’s possibly not ready. And until it overhauls its fitness and conditioning department I wouldn’t trust them if they said he was ready.
Why risk him? Why risk a late start to his preseason? It’s a stupid prospect and reckless.
Then again if they’ve tried a different approach to his rehab, innovative, progressive etc. getting through the next 3 games would be encouraging.
