It’s not like Merrett, McGrath, Langford, Setterfield, Caldwell, Redman are the future of the club either, but they get games on the regular. Gresham at least has played well recently, which he has over most of the guys I just mentioned.

Big difference is like it or not most of those guys are contracted and some still for multiple years so we are kind of forced to play them. Gresham is an easy delist so no sense to play him for 1 or 2 games
The best thing we could do is make these guys permanent VFL players, where they may actually provide some guidance to players below them, instead of getting in the way of youngsters who are already on the way to surpassing them.
