Picking on? They’re amazing. But my personal favourite was this legend:
I haven’t felt energy from an Essendon crowd at the ground like that last quarter in a long long time. Maybe it was just me but there was a real buzz. It felt different, upbeat, positive.
That Essendon chant was amazing…goosebump moment being at the ground. But it clearly came across on the TV as well.
We are a sleeping giant…power of our fan base will be fully released when we start winning finals.
Test Pattern Guy?
Was that at our match ? Didn’t see it, but I did post the one that happened during the Port Adelaide match in the Port Adelaide thread.
Have you contributed to the latest caption thread then?
Not sure if it has been mentioned in here, but
Did anyone else notice Daicos deliberately pushing back into Tippa when he ended up going ■■■■ over tit? I thought for sure "tunneling would get mentioned then.
Also, Cox took a grab over Sidebum who reached behind himself to grab Cox’s leg in an attempt to trip. It nearly worked as Cox stumbled when walking back.
Only little things technically but dirty crap from a scum team.
A mate called Roy G Biv is asking why you think blue is the same as indigo?
But did tptb test the baby for concussion?
One thing I don’t believe I EVER heard from 2016 to now, an opposition coach congratulate us on our press, that’s in spite of John saying in his first preseason at the club that he wanted to introduce an effective press. Its taken 4 years to happen.
The defensive groups new coach is Giansiracusa. Over the last 5 years I have admired the way the bulldogs setup down back. They just looked so much more organised than us.
Its starting to look like the new defensive unit is getting with the program.
I certainly hope Stewart can come back soon, but only after they are 110% sure his hammys are ready. Unfortunately BZT might be stiff if they do bring Stewart back,
As primmer1978 suggested …
Great insights by Matt Rendell on SEN this afternoon (with flog host Dwayne Russell). Haven’t heard him before. Very considered and direct comments on many AFL issues. Eg reckons Collingwood problems started when Longmuir left for Freo job. Said pies nearly won 2018 flag mainly due to Longmire defensive plans.
Said he was very impressed with EFC Anzac Day game, except should have won by much more. Went and watched it live.
Recruiting has been very good; 2MP is a very good pick up; Kids are gonna be good; game plan very much in place; apply great pressure when we don’t have the ball; believes we could even sneak into the 8 this year; 2/3 yrs away from being a power again.
Good to hear this from someone clearly embedded in the AFL industry.
I like Longmuir, Freo got a good one there. They’re finals bound over the next few seasons.
At least another 2-4 goals I reckon, after watching the replay. But let’s get serious, take a cosy 4 goal win any day of the week against a rival
It was only cosy on the final scoreboard! I was gnawing my nails to the elbow for most of the game…
Longmuir is a good coach I reckon. But Collingwood’s problem is that in 2018 they were an extremely united, believing and happy club and now they are not.
They have factions, board troubles, coach contract troubles and list and salary cap troubles. Much like us last year.
