Dreamtime game thread vs Richmond (year TBC)

As long as we don’t let Dusty or Bolton kick 4 snags from arsey snaps on the boundary I think we’re a real chance. There’s been plenty of times our expectations just started to simmer and we’ve been disappointed, but something feels different about this team.

Outstanding.

We need perspective. Unfortunately the media have ramped up the expectations of the Bomber fans ahead of reality. A competitive effort is the only expectation for me. Another opportunity for our young side on the big stage. We’re not winning flags this year. We should enjoy the ups and downs on this journey. If the better team (Richmond) plays well it wins.

As it has on so many Dreamtime occasions in the recent past.

If we win it deserves to be celebrated though. I’d like to think we might be a little more settled at Optus Stadium given we’ve been camped there for the extra week and a bit.

How many times have we seen the pressure meter showing our pressure up at over 200 this year.

Richmond are no doubt able to match that, and probably for longer. Is that where the game will be won, or is it ( and I know this is very very rarely the case  ) that the game will be won in the midfield?

We might have the edge in there.

I’m going to confidently predict the game will be won on the scoreboard.

I think this is the key concern I have

Our pressure has been the thing to get the job done on other teams. As Elliot Yeo mentioned post game it was immense last week and he felt like it was finals esque. They eventually cracked.

But how we cope when it’s being done back to us by one of the best at it yet to be seen.

Our ball movement has drastically improved since the Blues game, we are hitting up short targets and lowering eyes a lot more. Such that our DE as a team and individually has increased a lot. Will that break down against the Tigers or will we be able to continue such and keep getting large amounts of inside 50’s and opportunities to score.

I give us a good chance to win but I’m not confident we will

What I do know now with this team is we will give it our all, not drop our heads if behind, fight to the end.

I have tipped us though as I did vs WC!

Go Bombers :red_circle::black_circle:

Im still baffled by the call against Hurley to Martin when they were both wrestling each other for position in the marking contest.

Brisbane also panicked and bought and played their worst game. Kicking not up to their usual standard,

Melbourne on the other hand, bullied them into submission with their pressure. We need to do that to Richmond.

The thing with most of these highlights are, yes, they’re good, but we were beaten by 5 goals in most of them. Would be good to create some highlights in a win for the first time in like 7 years against them.

We are going to get smashed but I don’t care.

Worst decision ever. I was at the game and lost it hahaha.

I’m too scarred by this club to have any confidence going into this game, reeks of a let down. Hope I’m wrong, I was last week!

No I can’t relieve it it was outrageous. Life is too short to live through the same oppression twice lol.

I’d rather see him kick a goal from 60, with the added bonus of not being suspended.

Agreed it was a huge momentum shifter. Dusty really got kissed on the ■■■■ in that contest.
