Did you drink it mixed?
Or straight up?
Did you drink it mixed?
Or straight up?
Mixed. Not really a ‘straight up’ guy. (sometimes do on the rocks, but only for 1 or 2).
It’s good with either coke or dry.
I’ll keep an eye out for it.
I like mixers if I’m out and about. Without I’m usually 1 or 2 small glasses away from bed.
I regularly make manhattans and will have one if I go to a pretentious place.
I can drink whiskey straight but it’s not as good as a manhattan which is very simple to make.
2/3 whiskey, 1/3 vermouth and a splash of bitters…. If it’s still a bit too strong add some ice.
Another thing to add to my list. Thanks.
I do like to go the lazy man’s old fashioned. Instead of using sugar cubes, I just use a splash of sugar syrup.
Yamazaki is excellent.
But please dont mix it with anything.
Sip neat
A dirty vodka martini
simply the best!
They’re distilling in Preston/Coburg North but essentially aiming to be a US brand produced here.
Suntory make lots of cheapo whiskey too, including stuff meant for high-balls. I assume (hope) he hasn’t got a nice Yamazaki mixed like that!
Negroni’s & Ol Fashions are where it’s at
What whisky do you have with it?
Have you tasted any other whiskies that have a unique or subpar flavour?
Hmm I had a stage a while ago testing whiskeys but I’ve settled on buffalo trace as my basic which might be $60-70. I think it’s good bang for buck.
Depending on the mood I have a few others and will just buy randomly to try others but I can’t say I really had a preference in the pricier range.
P.S. it’s off Essington St
Was on special.
Can confirm it’s a bad idea.
I do love a proper Limoncello after a steak or heavy pasta dish, though.
One. Small.
Never been about the port.
Rye whiskies tend to make excellent manhattans. I also tend to drink a black manhattan over a classic.
Ballentines 12 at the right price is gold as is
Canadian club 12.
Not fond of the chivas regal 12 anymore.
Scored a bottle of singleton 12. Will give it a stroke of we win tonights game.
I think if you know the right chemist you can get the alcohol required to make your own limoncello.
Living in an Italian suburb im always keeping my ear out for any going around!(limoncello that is!)
I’ve got a few bottles from a batch I made a little while back. It’s along the Grossi family recipe, but I made it boozier.
You can just use vodka or white rum.
Unless you really like the taste of lemon scented jet fuel, in which case, yeah you need the stuff only made in a shed.
