Don’t mix that. Fill the glass with ice. Then fill it with the sweet sweet nectar. Let it sit for 15 minutes. Then drink it. It’s what I do if there is only Johnny Walker Red on hand, ‘cause that ■■■■ tastes like ar5e

It’s strange. I can happily sip straight tequila/mezcal, some of which does have characteristics of scotch.
But I just can’t handle it neat. (The flavour, not the booziness)

First, you don’t need to drink it this year or even next. Assuming it is stored in normal conditions it will last a long time.
Second, if you do want to drink it but don’t like the taste straight, try adding a splash of water +/- ice. The water may tone down the flavour you don’t like.
And even purists do not mind adding a little water to Scotch.
Third, and here is a pro tip: pay careful attention to the glass you drink from. Its shape will change the flavour dramatically. Do the experiment: put a little whisky into your best glasses of different shapes and see which tastes best to you. You will be astonished by the range of flavours. This also applies to other spirits and wines.

The glass tip is spot on. I like buying the whiskey packs that come with glasses.
I went neat. Hmm ok, but don’t like the after taste, not immediate, but 10-20 seconds later.
Added ice, better, but similar. (Probably my preferred)
Added soda. Lost a bit of the good and a bit of the bad.
Added lime. No idea why, I just had a like there. Wasn’t better or worse.
Think I’ll just try it neat every now and then, get my head around it. I think it’s the oak(?) taste I don’t like. I like Tequila and mezcal which aren’t usually in barrels, or if they are, not for very long.

The seal on the fuel cap of my whipper snipper is cooked.
Subsequently, with the warm weather, the fuel is evaporating.
My question:
1- am I creating ‘super fuel’, as it’s just the ■■■■ stuff evaporating?
2- am I creating ■■■■ fuel. As it’s the good stuff evaporating?
3- it’s just the same?
Creating a richer more oily/smoky fuel? If it’s a 2 stroke the fuel will be evaporating and the two stroke oil staying the same.
