Dumb Questions Amnesty

Do you have the equivalent of the Melbourne Hellenic Museum which collects things from Greek immigrants over the years? Or a Migration Museum which collects things representative of immigrant families? Documents and photos are particularly welcome.
Some records of the Pontic Greeks deported from the Black Sea arrived here thanks to a few of them migrating to Melbourne after they were allowed to leave Azerbaijan, where they were virtual slaves.
The War Museum features a donated photo of Greek refugees leaving Fiume ( now Rijeka) after Mussolini kicked them out.

My sisterā€™s godmother used to paint china and sell it. She died dunno, five or six years ago now, but wandering through an op-shop and saw a plate she painted for $5.

I ummed and ahhed for ages. Probably the most consideration Iā€™ve given to spending $5. Well in my adult life anyway. When I was a uni student, Iā€™m sure I would have ummed and ahhed as to whether it was best spent on another beer or a pizza.

I didnā€™t really want it, but I also didnā€™t want it to just sit there and eventually thrown out. Ended up buying it and itā€™s now just sitting away safely. Probably will never use it or put it on display, but at least I know it hasnā€™t just been put out to garbage.

Iā€™ve got a few of those hand painted China ones hidden away, but they bring back memories of my childhood with the older family artists who showered me with love.
Among other gifts hidden way, the ones given to me by someone who thought of me when they were in foreign lands. The Acropolis in Perspex got broken, so I donā€™t have to store that fortunately.

The ideal way is to leave your expected beneficiaries funding the drinks and eats at your funeral because your cheques have bounced.

When you eat at Italian restaurants in Italy, do they come around and offer cracked pepper/chilli oil/cheese like they do in Australia?

But the English love all the old Greek stuff.

Much in vogue in their Public Schools apparently.

Their ā€œPublic Schoolsā€ are our private schools, eg Eton, Harrow, Winchester.

Rename Elgin Street Carlton as well!

I was just watching that. Just give them back ya thieving barstewards! And the rest of it too.

Just tell them when you die you will make it up to them in your Will.

They will be nice to you after that.

Why are rafter squares, triangles?

Because itā€™s named after the job it does not what shape it is.
Itā€™s job is to square up the materials

Flush trim router bits. I get why there are some that have a long or short cutting area, but why are there fatter and thinner ones? What would you use if you were to trim some 19mm chipboard or plywood?
