Dumb Questions Amnesty

Not sure if this is a dumb question or not.

Why are grapes so expensive to buy ? I reckon $15 kg is expensive anyway.

Whether it is dumb depends on when during the year you ask the question. Their prices are very seasonal.

Why arenā€™t urinal cakes called ā€˜piscuitsā€™?

Why, when you book the first appointment of the day doctors are still late??

Held up by slow play at the course?

Because often first patient of the day follows things like calls, paperwork, etc.

I once had the same thing and the hold up was my GP was on the phone to the coroners office because a patient of his had died overnight. So stuff like that pops up and needs to be addressed.

But sometimes you just see them rock up and leave the parking lot half an hour after your appointment was meant to start

Probably made a complaint about turning up late, then ā€˜oopsieā€™ one of my patients is dead.

I thought they were toilet lollies. Strange name for something that doesnā€™t taste like a lolly.

Itā€™s funny when women donā€™t even know that these things exist and you try to explain.

Draft related dumb question.

Would it be a terrible idea to make it possible that any academy or F/S draftees become available to all clubs to bid on? For example with Ashcroft, if Richmond had bid on him at pick 1, it triggers a bidding war/auction and whoever bids the highest in magic pixie dust points gets him.

This is a brain fart I had in the car dropping kids off this morning so I thoroughly acknowledge Iā€™ve spent no time thinking about the ramifications.

Considering weā€™ve just pulled back from there, on academy players anyhow, Iā€™d say no-one would back it. Iā€™d support a restriction to two players per season, which I thin k Iā€™ve heard mooted.

I didnā€™t realise it was previously an open market for all clubs to bid on academy kids. I thought just the club that funded the academy could points match?

Back in the day my mates would say that a bloke wearing one earring was a sign of someoneā€™s sexual orientation (canā€™t recall if it was left or right).

Was this true, an urban myth or just something stupid my friends told me?

Left ear = straight / right ear = not straight was my understanding.

I thought it was the opposite way around.
