Sus your warranty first. Then try the Aus consumer law. Then a repair technician then just get a new one

Thanks. It is nearly 20 years old - one of the early models I think, but way past warranty. It has been good value.

If just dust/hair, can be green bin but if likely to include microplastics, better the red waste bin.

We had a gas leak which meant our gas cook top (which we were planning to get rid of longer term) had to be switched off, or many thousands to run a new line.

so we now have 2 x $50 Kmart portable induction cooktops sitting on top of the expensive Miele gas one.

Whilst on this do you take your gas tanks when you move, the only gas to the house is for the cook top, so its only the 9kgs variety x 2

Metropolitan Melbourne has gas piped to the house. Only remote locations have gas tanks.

The part on the door is back to front. Currently opening the door would allow the chain end to pop out.

Could be simply resolved by removing the door and remounting it upside down.
