There was another quake recently on the Turkey Syria border.
After shocks are forecast to continue for two years. More structural damage?

Imagine the damage if this happens along the San Andreas fault.

It might help the west coast states keep the Republicans out.

Several planet alignment incoming next couple of days. That will test the theory that their accumulated gravity pull on earth can cause quakes

I suspect it’s complete garbage. The moon’s gravitational effect is stronger than any of the planets due simply to the extreme distance.

Jupiter in particular, and perhaps Venus, does effect the shape of our orbit though, leading to atypical seasons on a cycle of hundreds of thousands of years.

Recently one in Ecuador.

Adelaide has been hit by a 3.0 magnitude earthquake.

The tremor began at 2.46am but was felt at around 12.15pm local time on Sunday afternoon in the suburbs of Mount Barker and the Adelaide Hills.

The earthquake had a depth of 22km and a latitude of -35.01.

According to Geoscience Australia’s self-reporting feature, it was reportedly felt by almost 800 residents so far.

Magnitude 7 earthquake in PNG, in an area of the East Sepik Province, accessible only by seaplane or canoe.

Thankfully this region of the Pacific is quite sparsely populated as seismic activity seems to have definitely increased over the last 15-20 years in particular. Definitely in these northern regions of PNG, across to the islands in the east and through to the Solomon Islands.

The 1998 PNG earthquake and 3 resulting tsunamis killed an estimated 1600, injured around 1000 and displaced up to 10k.
