Since it’s OK to be racist against whites…why do people take an instant dislike to South Africans? A: It saves time.

What about these three “white South Africans”?

No I don’t, but I was only asking the question out of curiosity. I have a hybrid RAV 4 that I bought recently and I’ll be sticking with that for a while.

Who’s the Charlie Wheeler? Not Charlize Theron, for sure, based on the décolletage.

Scheri-Lee Biggs; born in South Africa lives in Perth. She was Miss Universe Australia and is channel nine weather girl.

She lived in Melbourne for a while and rented an apartment we own. Delightful young lady, even for a South African

Prices without any Government rebates on cars we are evaluating

  • Kia EV6 $73,758 on-road
  • Polestar 2 $74,241 on-road
  • Lexus UX300e $82,315 on-road
  • Tesla 3 Long Range $85,557 on-road

In our view the best is the Tesla by a long way. It is the only one that feels like new technlogy, lowest road noise by a long way, smoothest driving and incredible acceleration, and we are not looking at the quick model. Most controls on touch screen and easy to use.

The others are all nice cars, but nothing really exciting.

Interesting also that Tesla gives the best trade in on my existing Lexus, and will hold the trade-in quote until delivery irrespective of how many kms I drive until them. So if I can get the approval of the Chairperson, then we will have a Tesla.

You’d wait till a potential labor government is in power no? No rebates on the table?

“I know, we can hook up the electric car!”

Odd thought.

With the way that car was parked I thought he might’ve impaled himself on the steering column.

Also why go over the air con unit? Why not just around it?

If it’s something that bothers you it’s worth double checking insurance premiums across the vehicles.

I know when they first came out teslas had exhorbitant premiums. Mainly because of a very limited repairer network for insurers to use afaik.

This may have been resolved since…

I get my Tesla in 3 weeks.

I have not even thought about insurance, will check Monday.

True rev heads would saying buying the EV ute was the first emasculation, the vasectomy the second

Tesla have given all Tesla owners a 30 day free use of their total car control package which can cost up to $10,000 as an extra.

So I have been trying out Summon which allows me to drive my Tesla from outside the car much like any remote controlled car. Works well, but after ten minutes I was over it, much like any remote controlled car my kids had.

@Bacchusfox if I understood you correctly your car is driving with you not in the car? Would you ever sit inside and let the car drive you ?

Standard on the EV6, and, I think, the IONIQ 5

Well Bill, Mrs Fox drives already from the passenger seat, so it would not be a great set up.
